The health and safety of our patrons, volunteers, staff, and performers is of primary concern to the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra. To that end, effective February 1, 2022, and until further notice, the following protocols have been put in place as safeguards against the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic:
- Patrons ages 12 and over at all ticketed concerts, held indoors or outdoors, will be required to provide proof of vaccination in order to gain admission.
- It is recommended (but not required) that all patrons, volunteers, staff, and performers wear masks or face shields at all concerts held indoors, and at outdoor concerts where at least 3 feet of distancing is not possible. Patrons under 12 years of age who are unable to receive the vaccine will wear masks or face shields.
Similar protocols are in place for all volunteers, staff, and performers. When protocols in place at venues where HHSO performs are more restrictive than HHSO protocols, then those venue protocols will supercede HHSO protocols.
Seating
The Sanctuary will open for seating beginning 30 minutes before each performance or pre-concert discussion, if one is scheduled. (Pre-concert discussions are scheduled for Orchestra Series concerts 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, and 8.)
Other Changes
No post-concert receptions will take place in First Presbyterian Church’s Gathering Space following Monday Orchestra Series concerts until further notice.
For SoundWaves presentations, the same vaccination proof and masking recommendations will be observed.
We appreciate everyone’s understanding and patience as we navigate our organization through this ongoing and ever-evolving situation. We will continue to monitor developments and information and recommendations provided by the Centers for Disease Control and South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control and adjust these protocols as appropriate.
