Antonio Vivaldi The Four Seasons

Conductor Jeri Lynne Johnson makes her HHSO debut in a program featuring popular symphonic works by Vivaldi and Mendelssohn. Two-time Sphinx Competition laureate Adé Williams returns to the HHSO to perform Vivaldi’s complete cycle of violin concertos, The Four Seasons. Complementing this masterpiece is More Seasons by Michael Abels, one of Hollywood’s most exciting contemporary composers. The program continues with Mendelssohn’s sparkling Italian Symphony, imbued with youthful exuberance and sunshine. “Johnson’s conducting is both stylish and powerful” says the Philadelphia Inquirer. She is among the most engaging and dynamic conductors of her generation.

“Adé is a Chicagoland wunderkind…known not only as a one-name performer but also as one singular sensation…played with a sweet tone and strength of character.”The Grand Rapid Press
