Conductor Jeri Lynne Johnson makes her HHSO debut in a program of popular symphonic works by Mendelssohn and Vivaldi. Two-time Sphinx Competition laureate Adé Williams returns to the HHSO to perform Vivaldi’s complete cycle of violin concertos, The Four Seasons. Complimenting the work, will be “More Seasons” by Michael Abels, one of the most exciting composers working in Hollywood today. The program concludes with the sparkling “Italian” Symphony of Mendelssohn, imbued with youthful exuberance and sunshine. “Johnson’s conducting is both stylish and powerful” says the Philadelphia Inquirer. She is among the most engaging and dynamic conductors of her generation.
“Adé is a Chicagoland wunderkind…known not only as a one-name performer but also as one singular sensation…played with a sweet tone and strength of character.” – The Grand Rapid Press
