One of the pleasures of the Chamber Music Series is the opportunity to hear members of the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra step into the spotlight.
In a chamber ensemble, every musician becomes both soloist and collaborator. Audiences can hear the distinctive character of each instrument while experiencing how the musicians listen, respond, and create together.
Select performances may also feature special guest artists, creating new musical combinations and one-of-a-kind programs throughout the season.
Hilton Head Chamber Music Institute
HHSO’s commitment to chamber music extends to the next generation through the Hilton Head Chamber Music Institute.
Founded in 2018, the Institute provides talented young string musicians with an intensive educational experience centered on chamber music performance. Participants receive coaching, masterclasses, individual instruction, workshops, and opportunities to perform for audiences during the Institute.
Together, the Chamber Music Series and Chamber Music Institute reflect HHSO’s commitment to both extraordinary performance and the continued development of chamber music artists.
